The most painful betrayal for a dog is when the people they consider their entire world decide to move away and leave them behind. The little Poodle in this story had to endure that exact tragedy when his former owners relocated, heartlessly leaving him to fend for himself. By the time he was found, he was a pitiful, exhausted soul besieged by illness.

A Beginning Born of Human Cruelty and a Timely Rescue
When rescuers first approached the little dog, they couldn’t help but feel heartbroken by his condition. There was no sign of a vibrant Poodle; he was completely disheveled, his coat heavily matted with dirt, straw, and filth. Even more horrific, the inside and outside of his mouth were covered in a sticky pulp, making eating and breathing incredibly difficult.
Parasite Infestation: The dog's entire body was riddled with insect and flea bites. His fragile skin was severely damaged underneath the thick, matted armor of fur.
Despite being abandoned and enduring immense pain, the little dog possessed an incredibly gentle and submissive nature. He showed absolutely no aggression or resistance, cooperating completely as if he understood that these people were there to save his life.
A Battle to Cleanse and Cast Off the Filthy “Armor”
The transformation process for the little Poodle was initiated immediately at the rescue center with the utmost care:
-
Shaving the Rigid, Matted Fur: The groomer had to meticulously use clippers to shear off the old coat, which had become as hard as stone and bound with dirty straw. Shaving required great dexterity to avoid further irritating the flea bites on his skin.
-
A Two-Round Warm Water Therapy: After being shaved, the dog was taken to the bath station to enjoy a stream of warm water. He was thoroughly washed twice to completely eliminate long-standing filth from his skin and mouth, and then carefully blow-dried.
-
Parasite Treatment and Health Check: Fortunately, a full-body examination revealed that he was free of any dangerous viruses. The rescuer promptly applied bug medicine directly over the bites to drive away the parasites and allow his skin to begin healing.
Throughout the entire process—from shaving to bathing and drying—the little dog remained extremely obedient and well-behaved. To reward his bravery, the rescuer treated him to some delicious snacks.
A New Home, a Private Room, and a Peaceful Sleep
Now completely clean, the poor Poodle looked lighter and more refreshed than ever. However, because his fur was freshly shaved and he was relatively small, the rescuer decided to set him up with a separate cage and space rather than placing him with the other rescue dogs immediately. This precautionary measure was taken to protect him from being bullied while his physical condition was still fragile.
A cozy little bed was placed inside his private room. For the first time after months of loneliness and agonizing itchiness on the streets, the little dog could curl up and enjoy a deep, warm, and secure sleep.
Message from the Video: Pets are family, not toys to be casually cast aside when life changes. Abandoning a pet when moving away is an act of immense cruelty, and small dogs always deserve lifelong protection and responsibility from their owners.
